Eden was a womb-like garden where Divine Light and Peace was directly experienced and therefore beauty and harmony were the norm. Eden was a place where humanity understood their crucial role of helping to sustain life on planet earth for the good of all. Today we often choose to live in exile from Eden; struggling to sense the Eternal Presence in our daily lives, struggling to preserve beauty and harmony in our environment and relationships, and often forgetful of our calling to be co-creators of life and beauty.
Eden sums up the philosophy behind all of our activities with the quote from an ancient Hebrew prophet: "The wilderness will become as beautiful as Eden, joy and gladness will be found there." (Isaiah 51:3). We desire to see the wilderness of children's lives, many of whom have suffered abandonment and pain, made beautiful by the creative work of Divine Love. We desire to see the wonderful world the Creator breathed into existence taken care of in a life-giving way so that generations to come may live balanced lives. We desire that Eden's original joy and gladness fill children's hearts and environments.
