Eden was a place where God's presence was experienced. It was a place of beauty and harmony. A place where people understood their crucial role of helping to sustain life on planet earth for the good of all. Today we live in exile from Eden; struggling to sense the Presence in our daily lives, struggling to preserve beauty and harmony in our environment and relationships, and often forgetful of our calling to partner with God to bear and sustain life in all its forms.
Eden's theme verse sums up the philosophy behind all of our activities: "The wilderness will become as beautiful as Eden, joy and gladness will be found there." Isaiah 51:3. We desire to see the wilderness of children's lives, many of whom have suffered abandonment and pain, made beautiful by the Love and Presence of Jesus. We desire to see the wonderful world God has made be taken care of in a life-giving way so that generations to come my live abundant lives. We desire that Heaven's joy and gladness fill children's hearts.
